Sometimes there are design elements that you like in theory, but you’re relatively picky about how they’re used. Two such things for me are text prints and black fabric. Other times there are things that you just straight up think you don’t like — ahem, black and white combos of any kind. One print that I absolutely adore is Seed Catalogue from Anne’s Farm Stand by Holly Holderman for LakeHouse Dry Goods. You’ll notice it’s a text print and that two of the colors are white on black and black on white!
So obviously there are exceptions to every rule, and Holly definitely knows the secret in my opinion!! Her newer Penelope line has pretty french text prints some great dots and basics — in black and white of all things!
She really did create a stunner with the Seed Catalogue print. I doubt they knew just how crazed people would get over that one!
